Four beats to freedom - a horseback journey through New Zealand

Latest Jaunts!  May 7
I nearly fell off! I held on so tight with just one finger – I didn't want to fall in that mud. I might have got as dirty as Boris does!

Then I went and watched some cows being milked in a rotary milking shed. Its like a big roundabout which the cows step on . They stand watch the world go by and they really like it and they get milked at the same time.

I rode a new horse! I taught Ezra all about packing. He hadn’t carried a pack saddle before and he was just a bit uncertain about it. I was too, cos I’ve never ridden any horses except the big boys and Ezra was a lot bigger still. He hadn’t been ridden by a bear either, but I talked nicely to him and we got along just fine. He has spots on his bottom 'cos he’s partly appaloosa. I don’t think they make appaloosa bears do they?

It's quite exciting when we go through the water. Its exciting in the bush as well and sometimes I have to duck 'cos Boris goes under the trees which are really low. Sometimes he takes half the tree with him.

Ian makes all his horses work in the Round yard and they all join up. Ian is a big tall man and I am a small short bear so I wouldn’t argue with him anyway…

That's all for now. Come back and visit me again. We might have some games and puzzles for you to do.  And remember, if you want to ask me anything, CLICK HERE.
